Wise Guys Trivia, LLC ("Wise Guys Trivia", "we", "us") runs trivia nights and musical bingo at venues across Massachusetts and Rhode Island. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Who this covers
Two different groups, and we collect different things from each:
- Visitors to this website, who may send us an enquiry.
- Hosts — the people who run our events — who use our scheduling portal.
What we collect from website visitors
If you send us an enquiry through our contact form, we collect the name, email address, phone number, subject and message you type, along with your IP address and the date and time you sent it.
We collect that information only because you chose to send it to us. There is no tracking or advertising technology on this site.
What we collect from hosts
When someone registers as a host, we collect their name, the name they go by, mobile number, email address, home ZIP code and a password, which is stored only in an encrypted form that cannot be read back.
We ask for a ZIP code, never a home address. The ZIP is used to work out roughly how far a venue is from a host, so we can offer shifts sensibly.
While a host works with us, we also keep records of their work: which events they are scheduled for, when they checked in, the completion of their event checklist, the attendance numbers they report, photographs they upload from events, and any equipment they hold.
For anyone signed in, we record the IP address and browser of the session, which is how we keep accounts secure.
How we use it
- To answer enquiries sent through the contact form.
- To schedule hosts, arrange cover when someone cannot work, and run our events.
- To send hosts operational messages by email and text — see our SMS Terms of Service.
- To keep accounts secure and to understand how our events are running.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information, and we never have.
- We do not use it for advertising, and we do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this website.
- We do not send marketing texts. Texts go only to hosts, and only about their work.
We do not share SMS consent with third parties or affiliates.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the services that make our operations work — our email delivery provider and our telephone and messaging provider — and only to the extent they need it to deliver a message. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Mobile numbers and SMS consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Cookies
We use a single cookie to keep hosts signed in to the portal. It is not used for tracking or advertising. If you never sign in, it is never set.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and host records for as long as we need them to run the business and to meet our legal and tax obligations, and then we delete them.
Your choices
Hosts can update their own details in the portal at any time. To ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it, contact us at the address below and we will respond.

Children
This site and our portal are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page.
