Who receives text messages from us
Text messages from Wise Guys Trivia, LLC go only to people who host our events and who have given us their mobile number and agreed to be contacted about their work. We do not send marketing or promotional texts, and we do not text members of the public.
What we send
- Shift cover requests — when an event needs covering, we text the hosts who can work that venue, and the first to respond takes the shift.
- Confirmations — telling a host they have the shift, or that it has been taken by someone else.
- Reminders — if an event checklist has not been completed after an event.
- Account messages — sign-in codes and similar, when a host requests one.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies, and depends on how often a host is offered or takes a shift. In a typical week a host receives a small number of messages. We do not send scheduled bulk messages.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply. Wise Guys Trivia does not charge for these messages, but your mobile carrier may, depending on your plan.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from us. You will receive one message confirming that we have stopped, and we will send no further texts to that number.
Stopping texts does not end your engagement with us, and it is not a condition of working with Wise Guys Trivia — but shift cover requests are sent by text, so a host who opts out will not be offered cover shifts that way.
